Accu Acoustics’ team of technical advisors has a wealth of experience in providing noise consultancy services for Property and Urban Regeneration projects throughout the UK.

We have led on a range of development proposals, from single dwelling planning applications through to commercial and leisure developments, large scale residential, purpose-built student accommodation and mixed-use developments and novel proposals, covering standalone planning applications up to EIA.​

All team members at Accu hold grade-appropriate membership and affiliation with the Institute of Acoustics.

We offer the following services relevant to property and urban regeneration projects:

• Input to feasibility and constraints studies and provision of preliminary advice;

• EIA Screening / Scoping;

• Baseline surveys;

• Construction noise and vibration assessments;

• Noise impact assessment in accordance with BS 8233:2014 and with Local Planning Authority (LPA) supplementary guidance;

• Road and Rail noise modelling in accordance with CRTN and CRN;

• Consultation with the LPA Environmental Health Services to aid a smooth route through planning and avoid objections;

• Detailed iterative mitigation modelling to consider the ability of a development to meet appropriate noise limits and advise on which attenuation methods may be the most effective;

• Inputs to Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs);

• Post-submission support, including review and input to draft planning conditions; and

• Compliance monitoring.​
